Finding parking was an issue. Overall decent experience but it is small and the food and games are crazy overpriced. $9 for a blooming onion is robbery.
My husband and I went alone for date night, thank gosh this wasn't the fair we brought our daughters to. For he and I to ride the Ferris wheel once (which goes foolishly fast now!!) It would have cost us $15. Seriously, literally $15!!! We instead walked around and people watched (the animals were few, goats and chickens..) we bought candy apples ($6/each lol) and did our annual dough boy and Turkey leg. Played a few games and the guy working it was pushing, basically saying if my husband loved me he'd win me to big prize and throw 10 darts for $20.. It takes trading in 3 large prizes 3 times to win one of those! No way! I spoke up and told my husband I would think him foolish to spend $20 to throw a few darts! Thinking next year is time to start a new fair tradition, elsewhere. Just to enter the fair was $16 for us two and it was the last night which was some discount thing. Never mind trying to watch the derbies.. People were in the stands and setting up lawn chairs in front of the fence/walkway THREE hours before. Some even earlier! My view (even though I stood out of the way) was of a boy that was about 8 years old, sitting on a guys shoulders playing.. He had zero interest in watching or doing anything but floundering around on his shoulders so nobody else could see. I have up and we sat on a bench and people watched. I guess that was pretty entertaining. Even the vendors and people working there are just so rude and careless about everything.
Not a huge fair but it's always fun. Lots of food options, rides for little kids and older ones. People are generally friendly but the fair staff are not from the area and can be off putting and seem a little rude. Great livestock, animals and a demolition derby!
The Draft Horse pulling and the Robert W Tibbetts Sr memorial horse pulling class every year in memory of Robert wTibbetts Sr legendary and in the Draft Horse pulling Hall of fame. Everyone like to see who's team of Draft Horses are winning trophy donated by the TIBBETTS Family
More food then fair when I visited during the week. Might be better on the weekends.
